Speaker: Jack Shifflett

 

Jack Shifflett is President of NAMI Missoula; originally from Buffalo NY, he has lived in Missoula since 2003. He has written and published poetry and currently teaches a monthly writing workshop for Living Art of Montana. As a suicide attempt survivor, he understands the need for suicide awareness and prevention efforts in the community; he is a trained instructor for the "QPR" (Question, Persuade, Refer) suicide prevention program sponsored and coordinated by the Missoula County Health Department.
